Soutpansberg In the far Limpopo Province of South Africa, the magical Soutpansberg mountain range rises like an oasis from the surrounding bushveld. This is one of the country's most unique and bio-diverse environments and at the top of this mountain, in a well hidden valley, lies Leshiba Wilderness. The Soutpansberg’s natural beauty is matched by the richness of the Venda culture. This inspired the establishment of the Leshiba Centre of Indigenous Knowledge aimed at preserving, researching and promoting the rich culture and heritage of the area. Leshiba has been part of an initiative to include the Soutpansberg into the proposed Vhembe Biosphere Reserve. This initiative has included the many local communities in the process which will contribute to the long term preservation of the area.
