The Sweet sound of Wendy New

Wendy New and her family came to visit Leshiba and we had the most wonderful time together. A late afternoon game drive with our friends, Jenny and Charles, turned into a once off gig on Hamasha plain. There, we sat in a circle, drinks in hand, the sun melting shades of orange and red through the sky and listened to the sweet sounds of Wendy and her guitar. One of those moments that makes you take a deep breath and smile…

What a beautiful tribute. Thank you for so generously sharing Gilly’s Way with us. Sad I am that I never knew her in the flesh.but her spirit permeates your writing. She is so alive in the video. The flowing waters gurgle her specialness and flow with the energy she seemed to have in the walking.
The space sings of a special being. The rocks reflect and vibrate with a spirit of strength .
The bushes and grasses whisper in awe that such a special being passed their way and surely still inhabits as spirit. I thank you again for writing such a tribute and sharing Gilly’s poetry. I hope to visit Leshiba later this year and experience some of the special for myself. Peace and gratitude be with you. Be safe and well Loretta
